Our company is seeking an experienced Laser Rust Removal/Painter to join our team! This person is responsible for laser rust removal, prime and/or paint application to the equipment we manufacture in accordance with high quality product specifications. Salary

Hourly wage starting based off experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

Be punctual, helpful, responsible, and honest.

Maintain clean workspace area/environment.

Adhere to all established standards, policies and practices relating to safety, quality and paint booth/blast shed.

Prepare surfaces for coating, maintain sandblasting and spray-painting equipment (compressors, filters, lines, hoses, guns, etc.), mix, blend, and apply coats of paint.

Mask, plug, or block finished, machined, or specified surfaces not to be coated.

Initiate process of rust removal, washing, painting, decals and assembling of all inventories while keeping product accountability.

Prepare, match colors, and mix standard and other primers, paints, and coatings to proper consistency, using thinners, solvents, and additives as required.

Visually and mechanically review finished items for pin holes, runs, bare spots, and proper coverage. Refinish and touch up as required.

Continuously develop knowledge of industry trends and advancements in fabrication techniques.

Perform all required duties and/or additional duties as requested or assigned.

Work efficiently and effectively as an individual and a team member.

Complete and submit all quality checklists, production time worksheets and requested documents at designated time.

Operate and maintain machinery in compliance with all safety policies of our facility.

Qualifications/skills needed

Able to remain focused and productive throughout the day.

Must be able to use verbal, written skills to communicate effectively, basic documentation and computer skills.

Thorough knowledge of surface preparation to ensure proper coating adhesion and a basic understanding of paint equipment and paint-booth operation.

Knowledge of static electric paint application and pneumatic systems preferred but willing to train.

Experience with painting in a manufacturing environment helpful.

Ability to work in various physical positions, stand and walk up to 8 hours a day, lift minimum of 25 lbs.

High school Diploma or equivalent required and clean driving record.

Potential ability to cross train into other departments.
