Our company is seeking an experienced office administrator to join our team and be an essential part of our manufacturing team! This person is responsible for creating, updating and applying all HR policies and company guidelines and making sure they adhere to standards and laws along with greeting customers, answering phones and general office duties to help keep busy office running smoothly. Salary
Hourly wage starting based off experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
Be punctual, helpful, responsible, and honest.
Adhere to all established standards, policies and practices relating to safety and quality.
Complete all required documentation for onboarding, new hire orientation processes and preform all onboarding duties as required.
Coordinates programs to attract qualified candidates through the design and placement of position announcements, advertising, and/or participation in job fairs and local school events.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of HR personnel files physical and digital records while ensuring they are accurate, up to date and in compliance with federal and state laws.
Serve as the first point of contact for HR, Safety related questions, offer guidance on policies, procedures and best practices.
Administer employee benefits, manage attendance (leave of absences), oversee workers’ compensation claims while ensuring legal compliance with federal, state employment laws.
Conducting safety audits and monthly trainings; develop, update safety policies and help promote a safety culture.
Provide administrative tasks such as answering phones, greet customers and vendors, filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing.
Perform all required duties and/or additional duties as requested or assigned.
Work efficiently and effectively as an individual and a team member.
Qualifications/skills needed
Able to remain focused and productive throughout the day.
Must be able to use verbal and written skills to communicate effectively in English, proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office and ability to adapt and master company programs relating to duties.
Experience working within a HR department or related field preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skill with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential data and situations with tact, professionalism and diplomacy.
Ability to organize, sort and file documents properly and consistently.
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Attention to detail is critical, exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
High school Diploma or equivalent required and clean driving record.
