Our company is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team and be an essential part of our manufacturing team! This person is responsible for all types of sourcing including, but not limited to identifying cost-saving opportunities, effectively negotiating, and creating contracts to ensure continuous availability of all required products and materials to support the company demand. Salary
Hourly wage starting based off experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
Be punctual, helpful, responsible, and honest.
Adhere to all established standards, policies and practices relating to safety and quality.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, facilitate communication, including but not limited to negotiating the best possible deals with suppliers and vendors.
Buy, track inventory and materials of key product categories.
Direct efforts to improve supply chain efficiency, maintain product quality standards, and reduce costs.
Thoroughly understand customer and company needs, vendor requirements, product lines, business processes when processing orders.
Work closely with production manager, other depts. to track and ensure stock of critical and regular stock items.
Provide timely information on potential shortages and/or price variations that may have an impact on the operations and profitability of the company.
Perform all required duties and/or additional duties as requested or assigned.
Work efficiently and effectively as an individual and a team member.
Qualifications/skills needed
Able to remain focused and productive throughout the day.
Must be able to use verbal and written skills to communicate effectively, proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office and ability to adapt and master company programs relating to duties.
Excellent organizational, strong analysis skills and be able to maintain relationships with suppliers.
Experience and deep knowledge of supply chain management, logistics or business administration preferred.
Attention to detail is critical, exceptional problem-solving, negotiation skills and decision-making abilities.
High school Diploma or equivalent required and clean driving record.
